Abstract
Germplasm of Triticum dicoccoides collected from different environment s in Israel was evaluated by using the PCR as a molecular marker. Two pairs of primers were used in the PCR in amplifying the DNA tracts cod ing the high- and low-molecular-weight glutenin subunits. Analyses rev eal great variability within and between populations indicating the hi gh values of this germplasm for future breeding programs to improve th e protein quality in wheat.
