K. Cabrera et al., CHIRAL CAPILLARY HPLC AND HPLC-MS - NEW APPLICATIONS OF CHEMICALLY BONDED BETA-CYCLODEXTRIN AS STATIONARY-PHASE, Fresenius' journal of analytical chemistry, 352(7-8), 1995, pp. 676-678
Chemically bonded beta-cyclodextrin (ChiraDex(R)) has been packed into
0.25 mm i.d. capillaries and used for the enantiomer separation of se
veral pharmaceuticals by capillary HPLC with UV and electrospray ioniz
ation (ESI) MS detection. While having several advantages over convent
ional HPLC, capillary HPLC yielded comparable results, e.g. with respe
ct to resolution and sensitivity. The good compatibility to ESI-MS was
demonstrated.
