CAVERNOUS SINUS THROMBOSIS FOLLOWING FACI AL MALIGNANT STAPHYLOCOCCALINFECTION

Septic thrombosis of the cavernous sinuses most commonly follows staph ylococcal infections of the middle third of the face. Orbital symptoms are constant. We report six cases diagnosed only by CT. At present, M R imaging is the diagnostic procedure of choice. Its findings are thou ght to reflect the septic nature of the thrombosis.
