A case of hepatosplenic silicosis complicating a pulmonary silicosis i
s reported. Numerous calcified splenic nodules seen with conventionnal
radiology, ultrasound or computed tomography, hepatic microcalcificat
ions and <<egg shell>> abdominal lymph nodes best seen with computed t
omography represent the radiologic signs. However, hepatosplenic silic
osis can only be confirmed by pathological examination of liver biopsi
es showing birefringent particles within hyalinized nodules.
