Abstract
The effect of temperature variations on the spectrometric analysis of a two-component pharmaceutical preparation, ranitidine injection, has been investigated. Assay temperature coefficients of up to 0.8% degree s C-1 were obtained. A temperature-compensating approach, whereby a tw o-component solution can be analysed at any (unknown) temperature agai nst reference standard solutions measured at other unknown temperature s, has been developed and validated.
