Ha. Smolleck et al., ON-SCREEN SYNTHESIS AND ANALYSIS OF HARMONICS - A STUDENT-ORIENTED PACKAGE, IEEE transactions on education, 38(3), 1995, pp. 243-251
The implementation of an interactive approach to the display and manip
ulation of harmonics is described, The resulting microcomputer program
, which was developed primarily for educational use within the electri
cal engineering curriculum, allows both synthesis of waves from harmon
ic (sinusoidal) components and analysis of specified periodic waveform
s in terms of their harmonic content, Data may be interactively modifi
ed, and cases may be stored for later retrieval, Some of the means emp
loyed for making such a program user-friendly and student-oriented, as
well as several examples of program use, are cited.
