Abstract
The complex formation equilibria between ethylenediaminetetrapropionic acid (EDTP) and lanthanoid(III) ions were studied by potentiometric t itration over the pH range 2.5-7.0. The measurements were taken in 0.1 0 M NaClO4 at 25 degrees C. The data indicate the formation of the spe cies [Ln(HL)], [Ln(H(2)L)](+) and [Ln(H(3)L)](2+). Enthalpy values wer e obtained for the [Ln(HL)] complexes by calorimetric titration.
