Abstract
Performance evaluation of neodymium and calcium separation by vacuum s ublimation in the form of dipivaloylmethanates as well as in condition s when two types of ligands, dipivaloylmethane (HDpm) and pivalic acid (HPiv), are present was made. It was found that the addition of HPiv to the mixture NdDpm(3)+CaDpm(2) caused an increase in the separation efficiency, and the production of pure NdDpm(3) in the sublimate.
