Interleaved spiral scanning of k-space is an efficient and fast method
for imaging dynamic processes, In this article, a cine version of int
erleaved spiral imaging is presented, The method is shown to overcome
the ''lightning-flash'' artifacts of the conventional triggered (gated
) method. Compared with the segmented k-space 2DFT method, it achieves
better temporal resolution in a comparable or shorter scan time, Prel
iminary human studies show that the method is a promising tool for ima
ging dynamic processes.
