Abstract
We present a theory of magneto-oscillations around the v=1/2 Landau le vel filling factor based on a model with a fluctuating Chern-Simons fi eld. The quasiclassical treatment of the problem is appropriate and le ads to an unconventioal exp-(pi/omega(c)tau(1/2)())(4) behavior of the amplitude of oscillations. This result is in good qualitative agre ement with available experimental data, although the experimental valu e of tau(1/2)() exceeds considerably our theoretical estimate.
