We study the current transmission through a nonidal interface between
two different metals. The exact equations relating the electron distri
bution functions in the bulk of metals are obtained. These equations t
ake into account the specular scattering of electrons from the contact
ing surface as well. as the diffusive scattering from defects at the i
nterface. A specific resistance of contact is calculated. The approach
makes it possible to take into account the nonideality of the inerfac
e in a rigorous way.
