L. Hua et al., STUDY OF AG OXIDE INTERFACE OF BI-2223 SILVER-SHEATHED SUPERCONDUCTING COMPOSITE/, Journal of applied physics, 78(5), 1995, pp. 3274-3277
The composition and microstructure of the Ag/Bi-2223 oxide interface i
n the silver-sheathed superconducting composite have been analyzed by
Auger electron spectroscopy, electron probe microanalysis, x-ray-diffr
action analysis, scanning electron microscopy, and energy-dispersive a
nalysis x-ray spectroscopy. The results reveal that a diffusion layer
exists in the Ag/oxide interface, and the width of the diffusion layer
is greater in high-J(c) samples than in low ones. It is also found th
at bismuth oxide may vaporize through the silver cladding at high temp
erature, and the deficiency of bismuth brings about the formation of n
onsuperconducting phase. (C) 1995 American Institute of Physics.
