Abstract
Environmental pollution due to urbanization, industrialization and the use of agrochemicals has become a serious problem in Vietnam, The sta tus of environmental pollution is reviewed here, The analytical strate gies for determining water quality, the ecological toxicity of chemica l pesticides and heavy metal concentrations are summarized, and an act ion plan regarding environmental priorities is mentioned.
