Abstract
Relaxation of six ferrofluids differing in particle size was studied u sing a de SQUID magnetometer. We observed Noel relaxation with nonline ar In(t) behaviour in freeze-dried samples and viscosity-dependent Bro wnian relaxation in glycerol-based dried samples. Investigations of th e basic magnetic parameters, complex susceptibility and remanence comp lement the time-dependent measurements.
