Abstract
In order to polish the internal surface of a long tube whose inner dia meter is less than 20 mm, a new magnetic fluid grinding method for the internal surface of the tube was developed. The obtained maximum remo val rate was 0.28 mu m/min with 55 mu m of SiC abrasive and stainless steel of taper-type tools. The obtained minimum surface roughness was 0.04 mu mRa with 1 mu m of SiC abrasives and PVA of the taper-type too ls.
