Abstract
Molecular modeling of an acyclic oligonucleotide analogue, associated with its complementary natural oligonucleotide, shows that the atactic configuration does not hinder the formation of an A double helix. Thi s can explain the sharp transition at 24 degrees C of the double stran d molecule (GlyA)(12),(dT)(12) prepared elsewhere.
