Abstract
A system for computer analysis and visualization of data for survey wi th the purpose of using it for rating soil has been proposed: The impa ct of different ecological factors on soil microbial biomass has been evaluated (substrate-induced respiration method) in the course of soil studies in the Upper Oka River basin in Serpukhov region (scale 1:100 ,000). The rate of agricultural utilization of the area (71 percent) p roved to be the most important agent changing the microbial biomass.
