Abstract
The influence of different additives on behavior of lead acid batterie s was studied at low temperatures. The discharge capacity of lead acid batteries decreases with the decrease of temperatures. The addition o f small quantities of different substances (in this case H8PO4, LiSO4, (NH4)(2)Cr2O7, CaSO4, ACOFORTE solution, CuSO4) leads to the decrease of the freezing temperature, the increase of the solution's electric conductivity, the increase of the ions addition inside the pores and f inally to the increase of the lead acid baterry's discharge capacity a t low temperatures.
