We show that it is possible to construct a relativistic nucleon-like o
bject within the framework of quantum chromodynamics (QCD). The object
corresponds to a system of three minimally correlated, relativistic q
uarks in the asymptotically free region. The key to the construction i
s the helicity formalism, by which the system can be endowed with well
-defined total angular momentum. By using a specific composite boost o
f the constituents and the system ro relativistic velocities, we find
an effect like Thomas precession. When we calculate the electric form
factor of this object, we can extract a non-negligible contribution to
the charge radius of such an object.
