J. Pospichal et al., MICROPREPARATIVE FOCUSING OF PROTEINS IN CARRIER-AMPHOLYTE-FREE SOLUTION WITH ELECTRICALLY CONTROLLED COMPOSITIONS OF ELECTROLYTES, The Journal of microcolumn separations, 7(3), 1995, pp. 213-219
Three proteins (myoglobin, ribonuclease, and cytochrome C) were concen
trated, separated, and isolated from a dilute mixture by electrically
controlled focusing in carrier-ampholyte-free solution. Electrolytes w
ere modified at both sides of the capillary. The described method is s
uitable for the micropreparation of hundred-mu g quantities of protein
s in times comparable to other capillary techniques (tens of minutes).
