Abstract
This paper describes a case study using Power System Stabilizers to en hance the damping of the WSCC System. The study Is based on a particul ar model of the system. Local and inter-area modes are first identifie d for two load flow cases and then stabilization and damping improveme nt of these modes are obtained, Approaches for further damping improve ment of a 0.7 Hz Inter-area mode pre recommended,
