Td. King et al., OPTIMAL ENVIRONMENTAL DISPATCHING OF ELECTRIC-POWER SYSTEMS VIA AN IMPROVED HOPFIELD NEURAL-NETWORK MODEL, IEEE transactions on power systems, 10(3), 1995, pp. 1559-1565
This paper examines the usefulness and specifics of the Hopfield neura
l network as applied to optimal economic/environmental dispatching of
thermal generating units in an electric power system. A simulator is d
eveloped and criteria for selecting its parameters are discussed to ob
tain an optimal dispatch in the minimum amount of iterations. Particul
ar emphasis is placed on the effects of variations in the selection of
Hopfield parameters both with respect to the final result and the num
ber of iterations required to reach a final solution.
