The functional group -COOH on carbon fiber microcylinder electrode(CFM
CE) was formed by electrochemical oxidation with cyclic voltammetry, a
nd the Nile blue modified CFMCE was manufactured by means of electrost
atic-attraction. The electrochemical behaviour of the modified electro
de was studied, and its stability was discussed. The apparent standard
electron transfer rate constant and charge transfer coefficient of fi
xed Nile blue A at various pH, and the number of H+ participating in e
lectrode reaction were determined. The experiments indicated the modif
ied electrode can catalyze the electrode reaction of hemoglobin at car
bon fiber microcylinder electrode.
