Abstract
Linoleic acid and oleic acid markedly increased the influx of Ca-45 in to isolated intestinal epithelial cells, and this increase reflected a rise in the intracellular calcium level, Methyl linoleate had no effe ct, while glutamic acid and somatostatin both inhibited the linoleic a cid-induced influx of Ca-45. In addition, methyl linoleate had no effe ct, while glutamic acid inhibited linoleic acid-induced hormone-respon sive pancreatic exocrine secretion.
