E. Alhan et al., INFLUENCE OF THYROTROPIN-RELEASING-HORMONE ON EXPERIMENTAL PANCREATITIS IN RATS, Research in experimental medicine, 195(4), 1995, pp. 243-248
The main purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of thy
roid releasing hormone on acute sodium-taurocholate-induced pancreatit
is in rats. Thyroid-releasing hormone did not change the survival rate
, serum amylase, glucose calcium, liver transaminases levels or the de
gree of pancreatic damage, but reduced lactate dehydrogenase. Our find
ings suggest that the use of thyroid-releasing hormone has no benefici
al effect on the course of acute experimental pancreatitis.
