Abstract
Contact Allergy to Piperazine / Cross reactions with ethylendiamine di hydrochloride Piperazine and ethylendiamine dihydrochloride were patch tested in 967 patients in the hospitals working with the IVDK (1990-1 993). Eleven patients reacted to ethylendiamine dihydrochloride, four patients to piperazine. No simultaneous reactions to both occurred. Co ntact allergies to piperazine seem to be very rare, cross sensitizatio ns between both substances seem to be extremely rare.
