Abstract
Aspergillosis of the central nervous system (CNS) is an uncommon infec tion, mainly occurring in immunocompromised patients. Beside cerebral involvement spinal cord lesions are extremely rare. To our know ledge, aspergillosis initially presenting, vith acute paraplegia due to mycot ic thrombosis of the anterior spinal artery in a formerly healthy pati ent has, so far,not been reported. Neither a primary focus nor an unde rlying disease had been detected.
