Abstract
A broadband decision circuit with a novel single-ended input and diffe rential output operating from DC to > 6 Gbit/s has been fabricated usi ng silicon bipolar transistor technology. Single-ended to differential signal conversion is realised within a single flip-flop stage by usin g an emitter-coupled feedback loop which eliminates the need for a sta ble reference voltage source.
