Cv. Poulsen et al., CHARACTERIZATION OF DISPERSION PROPERTIES IN PLANAR WAVE-GUIDES USINGUV-INDUCED BRAGG GRATINGS, Electronics Letters, 31(17), 1995, pp. 1437-1438
UV-induced gratings have been employed to characterise dispersion prop
erties and birefringence in buried phosphorus/germanium doped channel
waveguides for different propagating modes. Bragg gratings with low in
dex modulation and showing up to 50% reflectivity, have been written w
ith 193nm UV-light through a phasemask in waveguides with different di
mensions.
