Abstract
The title complexes have been obtained from reaction of ammonium tetra thiotungstate and silver nitrate in the presence of lanthanide nitrate in DMF and CH3CN. The one-dimensional polymeric cluster anionic struc ture can be viewed as square-type [W4Ag4S16](4-) fragments bridged by Ag+ cations. The valence and dimensions of the lanthanide-coordinated cations play significant roles in the assembly reaction of ammonium te trathiotungstate and silver nitrate.
