Abstract
Low energy neutron induced fissions of actinide nuclei are studied wit h multichannel and random neck rupture fission model. A method for det ermining parameters of prescission shapes of the fissioning nuclei is presented. The fragment properties of the neutron induced fissions of Th-232, U-233, U-235, U-238, Np-237, Pu-239, (PU)-P-240, Pu-241 and Pu -242 are investigated, covering the incident neutron energy range from 0 to 6 MeV. The dependence of the channel probability on the incident neutron energy is determined. Theoretical results are in accord with the experimental data.
