Abstract
The dealumination of a commercial Y zeolite by contact with SiCl4 is m onitored with NMR spectroscopy of Si-29, Al-27 and Xe-129. The results are interpreted in terms of the changes in the material as silicon is incorporated in the framework and aluminum is deposited in the pores.
