Abstract
An extremely active and colloidal nickel boride was prepared by using rare earth oxide as a support in the presence of polyethylene glycol ( PEG) at room temperature which could act as a catalyst in the hydrogen ation of olefinic compounds, such as 4-(4'-hydroxyphenyl)-3-buten-2-on e.
