Abstract
The small signal rf impedance of Y1Ba2Cu3O7-delta step edge junction r f SQUIDs operating in a strongly nonhysteretic mode has been measured. The phase dependent inductance L(J)(phi) and the current phase relati on I-p(phi) of step-edge junctions embedded in SQUIDs are calculated f rom measurement data following the Vincent-Deaver approach. Two of thr ee junctions investigated revealed a sinusoidal current phase relation . I-p(phi) of the third junction seemed to be non-sinusoidal and hyste retic. A model explaining the origin of the non-sinusoidality of I-p(p hi) is proposed.
