H. Ohta et al., REDUCTION OF TELEGRAPH NOISE IN SUPERCONDUCTING SHORT WEAK LINKS, IEEE transactions on applied superconductivity, 5(2), 1995, pp. 3098-3101
It has been proved that, in the large channel number limit, the Joseph
son current of short weak links derived with a quantum mechanical scat
tering theory is analytically equal to the Josephson current derived w
ith a classical transport equation in the dirty limit. It means that t
he former expression of the Josephson current can explain temperature
dependence of the maximum critical current of short weak links in the
dirty limit as well as in the clean and tunnel limits. The proved gene
rality of the expression of the Josephson current helped us find a rep
roducible method to reduce telegraph noise in devices of short weak li
nks and get a 130-channel dc-SQUID system.
