K. Schlenga et al., INTRINSIC JOSEPHSON-JUNCTIONS IN HIGH-T-C SUPERCONDUCTORS AS HIGH-FREQUENCY SOURCES, IEEE transactions on applied superconductivity, 5(2), 1995, pp. 3272-3275
We report on microwave emission experiments of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+y-single
crystals at frequencies between 12 GHz and 95 GHz. Due to the intrinsi
c Josephson effect these samples form series connections of typically
2000 contacts. For the first time we observed phase-locking of more th
an 1000 junctions at 93.7 GHz in Bi1.8Pb0.2Sr2CaCu2O8+y single crystal
s. Concerning the development of high frequency sources me report on f
irst experiments on vertically structured thin films of Tl2Ba2Ca2Cu3O1
