Abstract
Migratory activity of animals in a gradient of technogenically degrade d habitats was studied in 1990-1994 in the Middle Urals with reference to bank vole (Clethrionomys glareolus), using the method of multiday non-returning removal. Spruce-fir forests represented the initial type of forest community. The proportion of migrants in the population inc reased regularly according to the deterioration of the environment. Tr ansitional temporary habitats, where existence of the animals is possi ble during limited periods of time, prevail near the sources of techno genic emission. At larger distances from the source of the influence, the quality of habitats is reestablished; they become more and more si milar to the donor habitats, where the stable existence of individuals is possible during their entire life cycle.
