Abstract
To eliminate complicated procedures for taking blood samples in the fi eld work for prostatic mass screening, we developed a method for PSA t esting using blood samples taken from the ear lobe and dried on a filt er paper. The stability, the diagnostic efficacy, and the cost-benefit effect of the method were confirmed in hospitalized patients, as well as in subjects from our mass screening program.
