Abstract
We report the case of a 46-year-old female patient with transverse mye litis complicating mixed connective tissue disease (MCTD). She respond ed well to steroid and immunosuppressive therapy. Unlike in systemic l upus erythematosus (SLE), transverse myelopathy in association with MC TD is very rarely described. The mechanisms, diagnosis and treatment o f transverse myelitis in MCTD are briefly discussed.
