T. Kasparis et al., DIRECT-SEQUENCE SPREAD-SPECTRUM WITH TRANSFORM DOMAIN INTERFERENCE SUPPRESSION, Journal of circuits, systems, and computers, 5(2), 1995, pp. 167-179
The performance of a direct-sequence spread-spectrum (DS-SS) receiver
employing new techniques for multiple non-stationary interference supp
ression is presented. These techniques are based on transform domain o
rder statistics and they selectively suppress spectral components that
are sufficiently large and narrow. Other important advantages are als
o discussed. The bit error rate performance is determined by Monte-Car
lo simulations and it is compared to the performance of fixed notch fi
ltering and of the well-known LMS algorithm. The effect of using data
windowing is examined, and results with single-tone, narrow-band, stat
ionary, non-stationary and multiple interference are presented. A comp
arison of the amount of computation required by the proposed transform
domain approach to that of the time-domain LMS algorithm is also pres
ented.
