Abstract
In this paper a theoretical analysis is presented providing a tool whi ch may be used to derive plasma parameters from experimentally obtaine d double probe characteristics. Only cylindrical probes are considered and both single and double probe characteristics are calculated, assu ming that the motion of ions with respect to the probes is radial. Thi s work is of importance in the field of plasma processing, as well as in space research and in fusion.
