Natural stress factors can be understood as brokenly operating impulse
s in landscape, arising in consequence of natural development of plane
tary structures. On the base of the rise and manifestation it is possi
ble to divide them to endogenous and exogenous stress factors. The kno
wledge of these factors is very important because their activization m
ay be unexpected and they can call up destructive changes of landscape
ecosystems. The most widened natural stress factors in Slovakia are s
lope motions, which cover approximately one third of the whole territo
ry, wind and water erosion and soil confinement, which are most freque
nt in the south and east parts of Slovakia.
