Jr. Sufrin et al., PURINE 2',3'-ACYCLONUCLEOSIDES - IMPROVED SYNTHESIS AND ANTIPARASITICACTIVITY, Bioorganic & medicinal chemistry letters, 5(17), 1995, pp. 1961-1964
Synthesis of purine 2',3'-acyclonucleosides has been improved by using
methanol as solvent for sequential oxidation/reduction reactions on p
eriodate- and borohydride-bound resins. Several O-acetylated derivativ
es of acyclic analogs prepared by this procedure have significant anti
trypanosomal activity in vitro.
