M. Farnik et al., SINGLE-ELECTRON TRANSFER IN COLLISIONS OF HE2- VIBRATIONAL-STATE POPULATIONS OF NH3+ AND H2S+( WITH NH3 AND H2S ), The Journal of chemical physics, 103(9), 1995, pp. 3495-3500
Single-electron charge transfer between He2+ and NH3 and H2S was inves
tigated at the projectile energy of 70 eV by the translational energy
spectroscopy method with a resolution of 120 meV. The products were He
+(P-2) and the ground state molecular ion. Populations of the vibrati
onal states of the molecular ion were derived from the spectra. The vi
brational state distributions differ only slightly from the. distribut
ions obtained by photoelectron spectroscopy and the differences can be
qualitatively accounted for by distortions of the equilibrium configu
ration of the target molecule by the Physics.
