DETERMINATION OF DILAZEP DIHYDROCHLORIDE IN TABLETS BY HPLC

A rapid, simple and accurate HPLC method is presented for the determin ation of dilazep in tablets. The extraction of dilazep was carried out with methanol. Papaverine was applied as an internal standard. The sa mples were chromatographed on a LiChrosorb RP-18 column and the mobile phase was acetonitrile/phosphate buffer pH 2.3 (9:1, v/v). The UV det ection was carried out at 254 nm. The method was tested for linearity (over the range 1-5 mu g/ml), recovery (mean 100.65%) and precision.
