Abstract
In this paper we introduce the periodically monotone sequences. Then w e investigate the properties of a class of periodically monotone seque nces in R. These sequences arise, for example, in counting as the inte gers are distributed on intervals of the form [(k - 1)T, kT] where k i s an element of N and T is an element of R(+).
