Abstract
A logical approach to the evaluation and initial management of the tra uma patient, including procedures that promote patient comfort and enh ance recovery. Fluid therapy, antibiotic use, nursing care, and physic al therapy are discussed. Procedures and recommendations in this artic le are important in the management of all trauma patients regardless o f the specific injury being treated.
