Abstract
This paper presents a mixed integer, goal programming model (MIGP) whi ch can aid engineering technology managers and analysts in determining the most desirable long term strategies for acquiring advanced techno logy capabilities under conflicting managerial, technical, and financi al objectives. Computer run times for various ''mixes of objectives'' are presented for both a GRAY supercomputer and a Pentium personal com puter. Numerous research extensions are offered.
