Abstract
A qp-deformed anharmonic oscillator with the U-qp(U-2) superset of U-q p(O-2) symmetry is presented for describing vibrational spectra of dia tomic molecules. The energy formula is tested on the vibrational spect ra in the state X(1) Sigma(g)(+) of H-2 obtained through the Rydberg-K lein-Rees (RKR) method.
