The periodically fully developed laminar heat transfer and fluid flow
characteristics of an array of uniform plate length, aligned at angles
to the air flow direction have been investigated numerically in the r
ange Re = 50-2300 using body-fitted coordinate system. Multisurface tr
ansformation is used in the grid generation in order to retain the per
iodic corresponding relations of the surfaces or lines in both physica
l and computational spaces. The computed results exhibit good agreemen
t with the experimental data available in the literature. The results
also show that both the intensity of heat transfer and the pressure dr
op increase with the increases in oblique angle and plate length.
